FAQ's

PHOTOGRAPHING BOTH THE BRIDE AND GROOM PREPARATIONS?

As long as you are no more than a 30 minute drive from one another, I can photograph both your preparations. Most of the preparation time is usually spent with the bride, but I like to be at the ceremony location 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony so I can be around to get more of the groom and guests arriving.

HOW LONG WILL YOU BE AT THE WEDDING?

Normally I start 3 hours before the ceremony starts, and then I finish after first dance. But depending on what package you want I can be with you all day and night.

DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY, WHAT IS THAT?

It’s a mind-set, a philosophy, how I would approach your day. I believe that if something is staged, then it has no meaning at all, no matter how good the photo looks. If a moment is captured, without stopping, posing, or any interaction from myself, then that photo will have genuine sentimental value to you. So for almost the entire day, to photograph in a documentary style, I need you to forget I am there, just enjoy your day and let events flow naturally.

DO YOU DO FAMILY GROUP SHOTS?

Of course! Not every couple wants family group photos, but most do. Whilst not documentary they are sometimes very important, even if they are just for Mum or Nan. I tend to suggest around 10 group shots for the wedding. I have mastered doing these quickly so that you can spend as much time as possible enjoying yourselves with your guests.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?

I don’t limit the number of images you receive. A low estimate is 350 images for a full day wedding. Each one fully edited to the highest possible standard and consistent with the look of my photos you can see on my website.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS AFTER OUR WEDDING DAY?

I aim to deliver your photos within 6 weeks of your wedding, however during busy periods this may be slightly longer. I will, however, keep you updated on the progress.
