About Me

Hi, I’m Rhys, a coffee loving, tea guzzling, biscuit dunking, waterfall kayaking wedding photographer.

I really hate having my photograph taken, although having recently married another wedding photographer it’s true when they say having your photograph taken on your wedding day isn’t as awkward as you think it might be… and I lived to tell the tale! Thats us above on top of Hallin Fell on our wedding day.

I live with my wife Hannah and my two step daughters on the border of Cumbria and Yorkshire, sandwiched between the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Pennines. Until I met Hannah my life was a little nomadic and it’s an honour to be invited by couples to travel all over the UK to photograph their weddings.

Before I became a wedding photographer I was an outdoor pursuit instructor, teaching white water kayaking and climbing around the world, as well as delivering personal development courses to young children in the mountains of Snowdonia and the Lake District. In my spare time, you will find me climbing some of the UK’s biggest mountains, paddling off waterfalls, or exploring a new waterway on my stand up paddleboard.

If you haven’t already, please have a nosey of my portfolio and featured weddings. I’d love to hear about your plans, whether it’s a big bash for all your friends and family or a tiny elopement for just the two of you.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
