I was delighted when Lindsay & Chris booked me to be their Milton Keynes Gallery Wedding Photographer. One of the benefits to have come out of the Covid Pandemic (there are a few, I promise) is the increase of weddings stepping away from tradition. Covid forced everyone to look at weddings differently, Small Weddings and ditching traditions become the norm, and it looks like it is here to stay. It's your wedding day after all so why can't you have it how you want!
That's exactly what Lindsay & Chris did. They chose to have a small intimate ceremony in the Sky Room at the Milton Keynes Gallery followed by having an actual breakfast for their wedding breakfast! It's no secret that weddings can be expensive but with a bit of planning and prioritising what means the most to you it's possible to have an amazing day and blow a massive budget.
Lindsay chose to get her wedding dress from charity shop and planned to regift it back so that someone else can then enjoy it on their wedding day, Lindsay also grew her own flowers for the centre pieces and decoration. A relaxed evening reception at the Milton Keynes Art Centre for all their friends and family was catered for by the excellent The Rub BBQ and dessert from Gigi Gelato. The absolute highlight of the wedding was the live portraiture by Aaron Jacob Jones, as well as painting an incredible wedding day portrait for Lindsay & Chris, he also live painted the guests providing them a truly unique and memorable souvenir of their wedding.
