I was thrilled to be Laura and Chris Mythe Barn wedding photographer. It is one of my favourite local venues, only a short drive from my home here in Leicestershire.

 Laura started the day getting ready at her home with her beautiful daughter and bridesmaids. With their hair and make-up being done by the incredibly talented Tilly Octavia and Alice Jackson. Before taking the short drive to Mythe Barn to finish getting ready. Lots of the fine details were done by the family, with the beautiful flowers by Chris’ sister, and the spectacular wedding cake made by his mum!

The ceremony at Mythe Barn takes place in the stunning Oak Barn and is just perfect for wedding ceremonies. There is lots of natural light to help capture amazing pictures. The ceremony was made more special when their young daughter walked down the aisle to her dad.

NATURAL, DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

After the ceremony, the guests headed outside Mythe Barn to greet the newlyweds with confetti and to enjoy the beautiful weather for the drink’s reception. Laura and Chris went for a walk around the grounds for some photos together, whilst their guests were being seating for the wedding breakfast.

It was a beautiful day being a Mythe Barn Photographer with emotional speeches. The evening party was started with the traditional first dance and fuelled with fresh wood-fired pizzas, a Mythe Barn speciality.  It was such a pleasure to be part of Laura and Chris’ wonderful day.

With its high oak-beamed ceiling, minstrels gallery, grey limestone floor and stylish decor. This makes The Oak Barn a magnificent location for your ceremony. Filled with lots of light and plenty of space it's a Mythe Barn Wedding Photographers dream.

If you want to have a religious wedding ceremony there are several churches nearby such as All Saints in Sheepy Magna or St Botolph’s in Sibson.

For an outdoor wedding on the grounds, Mythe Barn’s oak Gazebo surrounded by landscaped gardens is perfect. Before the ceremony, The Gallery provides an idyllic setting for you and your bridesmaids to enjoy whilst you dress.

Connected to The Oak Barn, The Cart Barn is an ideal place to gather for your drinks reception. The tasteful, light-filled surroundings complete with a bar, seating, splendid lighting and an attractive stone floor make this an incredible space. Leading out onto The Courtyard, your guests can enjoy Mythe Barn’s wonderful views across the property’s 150 acres of farmland. Which is bordered by lush meadows, rivers and impressive wildlife.

For those who want to get active, there are giant garden games on The Courtyard to enjoy. Whilst ample seating means that everyone else can mingle in comfort, with barbecue facilities and a fire pit for when the sun goes down.

Wedding photography at this beautiful venue is a dream. The surrounding fields provide a dramatic backdrop for wonderful photography throughout the seasons. The expansive open spaces help ensure you will always have the option for wonderful sunset photographs. The huge amount of compositions within the barn which provide a wealth of options for indoor photography should the weather not be great on your wedding day.
