Beryl & Clive chose the beautiful Askham Hall to have their intimate family wedding. They couldn’t of picked a more beautiful venue to get married, set in the stunning scenery of the Lake District. It was is the perfect place to get married and be an Askham Hall Wedding Photographer. Shooting here is a dream, I can’t believe I get to use a camera for a living. I love photographing at Askham hall the backdrops from almost every angle make for capturing great photographs.

ASKHAM HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

On the outskirts of the Lake District, close to the M6, Askham Hall in Cumbria is a plush, multi-award-winning country house with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.

Built in the 13^th century, this idyllic site includes a 16^th century hall, barn wedding venue, a Michelin starred restaurant, grade II-listed landscaped gardens and a number of pretty churches close by. Everything here was restored pretty recently so all of the spaces are perfectly kitted out for a wedding. It’s just incredible being an Askham Hall Wedding Photographer – a job I really love.

Located in Askham, Penrith, in a lesser known part of the Lake District, close to the River Lowther and Lowther Castle, Askham Hall is a stunning location. The venue has lots of dazzling spaces, gorgeous architecture and amazing scenery so a booking to be a Askham Hall wedding photographer is always fantastic.

The facade of the Hall itself, with its crenelated roof, mullioned windows and pale pink and grey stone exterior, is stunning whilst Bank Barn has been restored to a really high standard and is a highly sought after wedding venue. Proving stunning backdrops to your wedding photographs at every angle.

PICTURESQUE CUMBRIA BARN WEDDING VENUE

Grade I-listed Askham Hall is home to the 16^th century wood-beamed Medieval Hall and the Old Chapel, both sumptuous period spaces. Outside, the elegant wooden Pavilion is perfectly positioned in the gardens for a divine outdoor ceremony surrounded by sculpted borders and colourful flowers. You can also an erect marquee on the grounds.

There are two lovely churches close by, St. Peters Church and St. Michael’s Church. Nineteenth century St. Peters is just past the hall’s gardens, by the River Lowther whilst 13^th century St. Michael’s is a little further up. Both locations are a joy for an Askham Hall photographer but the location of St. Michael’s Church’s with views of the river and Lowther castle beyond is extra special.

Bank Barn is Askham Hall’s sensational, grade II-listed barn conversion wedding venue and the site’s biggest attraction. With its oak-beamed ceiling, exposed stone walls, neutral decor, huge windows and pretty lighting it everything that you want a contemporary barn wedding venue to be. This looks incredible in your wedding photographs too, the light is just stunning and a joy to use a camera at.

EXPERIENCED ASKHAM HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Both Bank Barn and the Medieval Hall are available for your reception. Although completely different spaces they both have all of the facilities you need and the level of style that you expect from a plush venue.

The food here is of the highest quality and the site’s restaurant, Allium at Askham Hall boasts a Michelin-star.

The accommodation is equally impressive with 18 luxury double rooms available in the hall plus access to the hotel’s Scandinavian spa complete with sauna, jacuzzi, heated outdoor pool and more, perfect to relax in after your wedding. You can also get another 11 double rooms at The George and Dragon, the hotel’s sister inn which is located a couple of miles away.

Askham Hall is a sublime rural wedding venue in one of the most beautiful Lake District wedding venues– definitely one for the shortlist!
