Ela and Matt chose the beautiful Tros Yr Afon for their wedding. If you are looking for a wedding venue where the whole family and friends can stay for the perfect weekend of celebrations and partying, then Tros Yr Afon is the perfect wedding venue. Tros Yr Afon, is a tranquil hideaway set in six acres of gardens and woodland, on the Isle of Anglesey. It is the perfect place for relaxed weddings, featuring a beautiful manor house with a fantastic courtyard and outside space perfect for outdoor weddings.

I met up with Ela and her bridesmaids as they finished getting their hair and makeup done, before heading to Ela’s parents’ house. It wasn’t long then until it was time to head off to the ceremony in a classic Austin Westminster. The weather held off and the ceremony was held outside on the lawn, featuring the most wonderful poem from Matt’s grandmother. About a boy from South Wales (Matt) who left to go North Wales to become a Paramedic. Whilst there he met a beautiful North Walian nurse (Ela). The poem that left everyone roaring with laughter.

After the Ceremony, everyone headed into the courtyard for drinks and a chance to celebrate with the newlyweds.  With the caricature drawing replacing the traditional photo booth, the rain briefly tried to make an appearance but with spirts so high it failed to dampen then. Afterwards a few group photos, we headed to the beach at Penmon Point, just 5 Minutes down the road, for a few pictures. Penmon gave me some personal time to capture the happiness of Matt and Ela’s marriage in an incredible place. Returning from the beauty of the lighthouse at Penmon, it was time for the official ceremony with the registrars.

We all headed to the marquee for the speeches and the wedding breakfast. Ela and Matt continued their beach theme with the tables being named after beaches they had visited in both North and South Wales. Following the meal, we were treated to a surprise performance by Trio Canig, a superb male voice choir which soon had everyone joining in and singing along with them. Finally, out came the band allowing the best moves to come out to dance the night away.
